RPM 2015 Stuart 2Biography: Stuart McAulay

Stuart McAulay has been involved with the aviation maintenance industry for the past 30 years after graduating from Centennial College in 1986. Being exposed to small aircraft from a young age provided the spark for a career in maintaining aircraft. After his Apprenticeship, Stuart went on to obtain his AME license and has worked exclusively in general aviation. He has also been involved in nearly every aspect of setting up and managing several Approved Maintenance Organizations.

He has held positions ranging from Technician, Safety Manager, Quality Manager, Trainer, Consultant and Director of Maintenance. Stuart has often contributed to technical publications over the years and has been a longtime member and Resource Person for the AME Association of Ontario. He is a past recipient of the Aviall High Achievement Award for mentoring youth in aviation and he continues to be a sincere advocate for mental health after periodic struggles with mental illness throughout his career.
