Biography: Aedrian Bekker
Aedrian is a registered clinical psychologist by profession. He has spent the past 17 yrs applying scalable, psychological solutions in complex, heavily regulated industries. These have included nuclear, pharmaceutical, utilities, defence and, of course, aviation. Within this sector, Aedrian has worked and with all aspects of the operation including senior management, cabin crew, engineers, the ramp, unions - and his favourite community, pilots! He also designed and delivered the award winning Beyond the Flight Deck programme for British Airways a safety focussed initiative to connect pilots with customer experience.
Along with Prof Rob Bor, Aedrian founded the Centre for Aviation Psychology just over a year ago. Their ambition is to create a centre of excellence and service focusing on mental health and resilience in aviation – and with a particular focus on pilots.
